Event Overview
A vibrant community celebration honoring Hispanic Heritage Month through family-oriented activities, live Latin jazz music, authentic food trucks, local artist exhibits, and cultural experiences. You will work alongside City Staff to ensure every tent, table, and sign is perfectly in place before the first guest arrives.
Choose Your Impact
Volunteer Lead( 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm -8:00 pm): Serve as the main point of contact for the volunteer team by managing the check-in tent, assigning volunteers to their specific stations, and floating between areas to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth shift transitions.
Set Up Pre-Event(8:00 am - 12:00 pm, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm): Assemble pop-up tents, tables, and chairs for vendors; place directional signage, banners, and colorful decorations around Carter Green.
Event Support During Event (2:00 pm - 6:00 pm): Welcome families at the information booth, assist with the kids' activities and chalk mural station, and support main stage logistics.
Tear Down Post-Event (5:00 pm - 8:00 pm): Assist with break down and pack up equipment, carefully remove and store event decorations, and conduct a final site sweep to ensure the plaza is clean and spotless.
