Event Overview

Thank you for your interest in keeping Carmel healthy and vibrant! As a volunteer for The Carmel Farmers Market, you are the heartbeat of the top-rated market in the state of Indiana. You will be helping provide fresh, Indiana grown/produced food to the community, while ensuring a vibrant experience for our 80+ vendors and thousands of weekly guests.

Choose Your Impact

Depending on your shift, you will be involved in the “behind-the-scenes” magic that makes the market run:

·         Set up & Logistics: Set up tents, set up tables & chairs for our guests to listen to live music, while enjoying breakfast, set out trash cans, put out signage and help vendors as needed.

·         Information Booth: Work in the middle of Carter Green as a “Market Ambassador.” You will answer questions, assist vendors and guests and be ready to sub for a volunteer that needs a break.

·         Liaison: Seven or eight volunteers are needed to count and greet incoming guests. You will have a market map in case guests need assistance.

·         Floater: Six volunteers are needed to walk around the market, making sure that everything is running smoothly, answer questions, make sure that walkways remain clear and accessible and be additional “eyes” for the Market Manager.

·         Market Tear-Down: Collect and pack up all market equipment on the appropriate trailer, empty trash cans and store everything back in the garage for next Saturday.
