Event Overview: Carmel Marathon Weekend
The Experience
Be part of Carmel’s largest running event of the year! On Saturday, April 18, 2026, thousands of runners from across the country will take to our streets to chase personal bests and Boston Marathon qualifying times. This massive community undertaking requires a "village" of 500 volunteers to ensure every athlete, from the elite marathoner to the 5K walker, has a safe and world-class experience.
Whether you’re a local resident, a student looking for service hours, or just a fan of the high-octane energy of race day, there is a vital spot for you on our crew.
Choose Your Impact
From the behind-the-scenes prep to the final finish line cheers, choose a shift that fits your vibe:
The Expo (Pre-Race): Be the first point of contact! Assist with packet pickup, t-shirt distribution, and guest services at the vendor fair.
Race Logistics: Help with the "heavy lifting" including gear check, transportation coordination, and start-line setup.
On the Course: Join the heart of the action! Serve at Aid Stations (water/electrolyte distribution) or act as a Course Marshal to cheer runners and ensure they stay on the correct path.
