Role Overview - Chinese Mooncake Festival Stage Coordinator/Assistant
As the Stage Coordinator/Assistant, you are the "pulse" of the festival’s entertainment. You work behind the scenes and at the wings to ensure that traditional lion dances, musical performances, and cultural demonstrations happen seamlessly. Your goal is to manage the chaos of a live event so the audience only sees the magic.
Key Responsibilities
Artist Relations & Check-in: Greet performers upon arrival, escort them to designated green rooms or warm-up areas, and ensure they are ready to go 15 minutes before their set.
Cue Management: Work closely with the Emcee (MC) and Audio/Visual (AV) team to signal the start and end of each performance, ensuring the festival stays on schedule.
Stage Safety: Monitor the performance area for hazards—such as stray cables or slippery surfaces—to ensure the safety of dancers and musicians.
Script Oversight: Keep a master copy of the run-of-show and notify the Stage Manager immediately of any last-minute cancellations or timing shifts.
Who You Are
A "Cool Under Pressure" Attitude: Live events are unpredictable. We need someone who can handle a technical glitch or a late performer without breaking a sweat.
The "Proactive Eye": Someone who notices a loose cable or a misplaced prop before it becomes a safety concern.
Expert Communicators: Whether you’re briefing a nervous performer or coordinating with the AV booth, your instructions should be clear, professional, and concise.
Cultural Respect: An appreciation for the diverse performances that make this festival unique.
