Job Description: Route TeamsWe are seeking proactive two-person teams to take ownership of specific sections of Carmel’s primary roads. This is a hands-on role dedicated to reclaiming our streets from transit-related waste. Minimum Age: 14-16 years with Adult Supervision (one team member at least 18 yrs).Route takes 30mins - 2 hoursChoose Your ImpactDebris Removal: Teams will cover a designated route to remove plastic and glass bottles, cans, fast food waste, and larger items such as hubcaps and commercial packaging (where possible). Route Selection: At our Introductory Meeting, teams will use a new app and/or physical maps to choose their specific territory. Example: Team A may choose 136th Street (Towne Rd to Springmill Ave), while Team B selects River Road (116th St to 146th St). As part of the festivities, the City distributes a thousand custom shopping bags to patrons. Each bag is packed with exclusive coupons and promotional items from Carmel vendors—serving as a powerful incentive for shoppers to discover new favorite spots and support the local economy. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the Bag Stuffing Crew, you will work in a fun, team-oriented assembly line to: Organize and sort incoming coupons, flyers, and promotional items from Carmel’s local vendors. Efficiently stuff bags with a complete set of marketing materials, ensuring each bag looks neat and welcoming for our residents and visitors. Quality check bags to ensure no local business gets left out. Count and stack completed bags for easy transport to the event site.
